The "Animal problem" in Bulgaria
Animals - barking, meowing, purring or hissing... They have always been our friends. We have used them in hunting, farming, for saving human lives and as our pets. They deserve our respect and love. And here comes the Big Problem. In my country throwing animals away is becoming more frequent. And by "throwing" I mean literally throwing them in trashbins. People are even bragging with that. Sounds crazy, right? Maybe even impossible. Yes, but that's a fact. It's sad. We live in a modern world, and a lot of our people are capable of doing such cruel things. There are many cases of animal abuse. Most of them happen when the animals are having their babies, in the spring season. People throw them in trashbins, as I said earlier, or ger rid of them by leaving them near rivers or forests where other bigger animals can eat them.
